Dear Reader,
This month, we’re rolling out key updates to enhance transparency, usability, and control.
Our Uniform Price Algorithm has been refined to ensure fairer capacity allocation. Our platform is also getting a smarter, more accessible redesign based on your feedback.
Plus, it will now be easier for Shipper Admins to manage permission assignments. Lastly, the next AggregateEU Matching Round is coming soon.
Read on for all the details!
Kind regards,
The PRISMA team
On March 3rd, immediately after the Within-Day auction, which closes at 16:30 CE(S)T, we’re introducing an update to PRISMA’s Uniform Price Algorithm—the market-based mechanism that allocates capacity fairly and transparently in short-term auctions.
This update will impact how clearing prices are determined when multiple auctions compete for capacity. The price may now vary depending on the auction scenario and will be set based on either:
Individual auction evaluations, or
The evaluation of bids across competing auctions—whichever results in a higher price.
By prioritizing bids with the highest surcharges and balancing supply with demand, this change enhances transparency and efficiency in capacity allocation.

The second RePowerEU Mid-Term Matching Round is set to begin on March 12, 2025, with a subscription deadline on March 10, 2025.
This round gives buyers the opportunity to submit their gas demand for a five-year period (July 2025 – October 2030).
To make the process clearer and more efficient, we’ve removed the info sheet phase based on participant feedback. This adjustment simplifies participation, ensuring a smoother experience for all involved.

Attention Shipper Admins: Starting February 28, newly registered Shipper Users will no longer be automatically assigned default Permission Groups.
Instead, all new users will be created as Shipper Users without any default permissions, requiring Admins to manually assign the necessary access.
To make this process easier, we’ve added a simple permission selection option during registration.

As our platform evolves, we need to refactor its design and navigation for better maintainability, accessibility, and usability.
We are currently in the design phase, and the feedback we've gathered from you in the past is playing a crucial role in shaping this change.
Design Tokens will define colors, spacing, fonts, and styles across the platform, ensuring a consistent, accessible, and slightly refreshed look. This defined foundation also sets us up for faster implementation of new designs in the future and significantly improves long-term maintainability.
The menu will shift to a vertical layout, improving navigation and optimizing space. The old menu had reached its limit in terms of functionality, so this update will address those constraints.
Menu items and pages will be streamlined to improve findability and reduce clutter, based on insights gathered from user research. Only a few pages will be impacted by this change.
We want these improvements to work for you. Join our user testing sessions to share your feedback and help us make the platform even better. Testing appointments will be available starting March 17th. You can schedule a session using the link below!
