What's New?

This round offers buyers the opportunity to submit their gas demand for a five-year period, covering July 2025 to October 2030. Additionally, we’ve streamlined the process based on your feedback: 

In response to input from participants in the first round, we’ve removed the info sheet phase from the Mid-Term round process. While this phase is crucial for Short-Term rounds, it caused unnecessary complexity during Mid-Term rounds, where no demand aggregation occurs.

By skipping this step, the process will now be clearer, more efficient, and easier to navigate for all participants.

Supporting diversification objectives of REPowerEU

This matching round reinforces the Commission's commitment to REPowerEU, aiming to accelerate the phase-out of remaining Russian gas supplies to the EU by allowing buyers to express their demand over a five-year period and secure supply interest from reliable international suppliers. To this end, buyers and sellers can now indicate their preference to have the LNG delivered free-onboard, thus enabling the participation of more international suppliers.
