AggregateEU Updates

Dear Reader,

The second Aggregate-EU Mid-Term Matching Round has come to a successful conclusion. Buyers demanded 29 bcm of gas, while reliable international and European suppliers offered to supply almost 31 bcm. Of the total demand, almost 20 bcm received suitable matches.

Now, buyers can review the offers and directly contact sellers to negotiate the terms of the supply contracts with no further involvement from the European Commission or PRISMA.

View Your Matching Results

As a buyer, you can check your individual matching results on the PRISMA platform by following these steps:

  1. Log into your PRISMA account;

  2. Click on AggregateEU on the top blue menu;

  3. Now, click on "Tendering & Matching";

  4. Then, click "My Buyer Matches;”

On that page, you already have a general overview of the specific matches, but you can see more information by clicking on “Details.” You can find further details in our AggregateEU Hub.

Report Your Outcome

As a final step, buyers are required to report contracts that have been concluded or that are in negotiation back to AggregateEU and the European Commission (DG Energy).

In case of concluded contracts, participating companies are required to report information about volume, counterparts and duration. This reporting obligation is enshrined in Article 46(5) of Regulation 2024/1789.

Participating companies are also encouraged to report if the matching round did not result in the conclusion of a contract explaining why that was the case. This option report is described in Article 46(6) of Regulation 2024/1789.

Such information on the outcome of the matching round will help the Commission to assess the functioning of Aggregate-EU and support the development of the future natural gas mechanism. It will also enable the Commission to report to the European Parliament and to the Council (Article 51 of Regulation 2024/1789).

How to report on the outcome of the Matching Round?

  • Until 31 March 2025, please report through the PRISMA platform and follow the instructions explained in our Knowledge Base.

  • From 1 April 2025, please send an email to EU-ENERGY-PLATFORM@ec.europa.eu to signal that you wish to report, also indicating your EU Login e-mail and unique identifier. On this basis, you will then be given access to EU Send Web, an IT tool to securely transmit sensitive information to the Commission.

Please Note

  • Participation in a tender does not bind or entitle you to purchase gas. Contracts must be negotiated and concluded outside AggregateEU.

  • Companies can seek to facilitate negotiation and contract conclusion by leveraging the services of companies acting as Central Buyers or Agents on Behalf. You can learn more about these services in this article.

  • If you need financial support for your upcoming transactions on AggregateEU, you may receive support from certain public financial institutions. Please refer to our AggregateEU Hub to learn about available support, the related conditions, and the contact details.
